Cornucopia Chinese fine dining restaurant 庆有余 ( Hong Kong)

Opened for a mere short period of only 2 years, Cornucopia fine dining restaurant certainly has a long way to go. In 2014 alone, Cornucopia has achieved some strong recognition in the fine dining industry. It was included in "100 top tables 2014" by South China morning post, "200 dishes to try before moving to Mars" by Hk n Macau's restaurant guide and Top 15 Cantonese fine dining restaurants by "Time out Hong Kong " magazine dining guide.

Situated at the prime district of causeway bay, this restaurant is on the 7th floor of Cubus building situated along Hoi Ping road ( 3-5 min walking distance from the MTR) .

The ambience of the restaurant is great, perfect setting for a fine dining place and  I was fortunate enough to get a seat in a private room to enjoy my sumptuous meal.

Enjoying the fragrance from the warm pot of jasmine tea;) before they serve me their luscious food.

Boneless Pork Belly Ribs in Strawberry Sauce

This is my first encounter where strawberry sauce is used with the pork belly ribs. I was fascinated by the home made French strawberry sauce with apple vinegar, it really brings out the fragrant taste of the pork from within, making the juicy flesh all the more juicier :) From the chef "食肉不见肉,肥而不腻”
I can't agree more.

Stewed chicken with Hua diao wine served in hotspot.

Though I am not a great fan of Hua diao wine, this dish really opened up my appetite. The tender flesh of the chicken, upon the bite, slowly releases the Hua diao flavour into the mouth. With the special made recipe sauce, this salivating hotpot chicken is kind of unforgettable.

Pea sprouts in Fresh Sea Supreme Broth

This is our chinese 'dou miao'. The dish itself looks appetising, The supreme top grade broth goes wonderful with pea sprouts. Together with the garlic and the mushrooms this dish is superflous.

Overall, this is a great meal, I am absolutely full yet contented with all of what i had today.  Not much space for any more food, the manager still insisted I must try his dessert. Unwillingly, I ended up gobbling this almond tea like I haven't had dinner ! I love almond and this dessert ended my night a happier man ;) My mind is reeling still...... my tummy supremely happy !
